(SAN RAMON, Calif) -- On August 30, 2026, numerous stores in San Ramon and other cities in the Tri-Valley were robbed by at least two unknown individuals. The robberies occurred between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
OpGov.News published two articles about the incidents, though at the time the San Ramon Police Department couldn't provide much information.
But, last week, more information about the incidents was released. Beyond the restaurants mentioned in earlier reports, Pakka Local and Amrutha Villas, other establishments were affected by the robberies. These include establishments like Pho Sam and Dairy Queen.
OpGov.News reached out to Pho Sam, a pho restaurant on Valley Boulevard and another robbery target. The owners said the thieves broke their windows, but stole nothing. It's unclear whether the culprits failed to find anything to steal or simply wanted to vandalize the restaurant.

OpGov.News also reached out to another victim, the ice cream chain Dairy Queen, located in the Gateway Center.
An employee of Dairy Queen, who asked not to be identified, confirmed that, like the other establishments, the thieves broke in through the windows. However, according to the employee, while the perpetrators stole one of the company's cash registers, there was no money inside. The same worker said that the shop had to close temporarily to fix the window, but that they did not face any lasting financial trouble regarding the incident.
Nearly every establishment the assailants robbed was a food establishment. Whether these were specifically targeted incidents or just coincidences remains unknown.

The police have confirmed that “there were no reported injuries associated with these incidents.” The only damage was to each establishment's windows.
While the camera footage given to OpGov.News makes it appear that the perpetrators stole a monitor at Pakka Local, the police could not confirm what else was stolen. Overall, while every establishment suffered structural damage, none were badly affected by the robberies, and none reported any significant business losses related to the crime.
OpGov.News attempted to reach other businesses broken into at the time, such as Mountain Mike’s Pizza on San Ramon Valley Boulevard, but none were willing to speak about the robberies.
As of October 13, San Ramon Police Department detectives have not found any of the perpetrators. However, the police have assured the public that they have not given up on the case.
The police department could not provide more specific information about the incident because the investigation is ongoing.
