(SAN RAMON, Calif.) -- On August 30th, 2026, roughly 18 robberies happened late at night in San Ramon, Pleasanton, and other areas around the Tri-Valley region of California.
Security footage was reviewed by OpGov.News appears to show two masked individuals dressed in black entering several businesses and taking various items. It remains unclear whether additional individuals were involved.
Among the affected businesses were Indian restaurants Biryani Junction and AmruthaVilas, according to owner Rajashekar Fnu. He provided OpGov.News with surveillance footage showing two masked individuals entering AmruthaVilas at approximately 4:43 a.m. and also reported that burglars stole approximately $1,000 in cash from the restaurant.

Pakka Local was also reportedly burglarized. Surveillance footage from the restaurant appears to show two masked individuals entering the business and taking a monitor and other property.

15 other establishments in the same area were also broken into. So far, security footage shows only the two individuals, but others may be involved.
All locations sustained property damage, including the glass in the doors and windows.
OpGov.News contacted the San Ramon Police Department seeking confirmation of the number of affected businesses, information about possible suspects, and details about the investigation. The department had not responded by publication time.
