(PLEASANTON, Calif.) – Pleasanton will hold a wide range of events throughout the month of October. Events include family-oriented gatherings, celebrations of culture, and evening attractions. From children’s scavenger hunts to adults-only bar crawls, there are many opportunities for residents and visitors to participate in the community.
The Pleasanton Downtown Association is hosting Pumpkins on Main, a scavenger hunt where children of all ages can collect stamps by locating pumpkins throughout downtown. While the scavenger hunt started on October 1, it goes through October 17. Free maps are available at the Museum on Main located at 603 Main Street, or Towne Center Books at 555 Main Street.

Pumpkins After Dark, which began October 2, will run at the Alameda County Fairgrounds through October 31. The event features a glowing outdoor trail with thousands of hand-carved pumpkins, large displays and live pumpkin carving. The annual Pirates of Emerson haunted house will also take place at the Fairgrounds through the month of October.
While October 17 marks the end of the scavenger hunt, it also marks the beginning of two other events. One of these events is Pleasanton’s first-ever Boo Bash. This free event, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., kicks off at the Museum on Main, where “adults will receive a list of clues and locations to lead them to candies and goodies throughout downtown at over a dozen participating businesses.”
