(PLEASANTON, Calif.) – Every month, Pleasanton is home to many free and paid events. From entertainment and community gatherings, to fundraisers and career opportunities, there are plenty of different events for residents to take part in. Here are some of the ones happening in September.
Joe Gatto Stand-Up Comedy Show
Former "Impractical Jokers" star Joe Gatto will be performing a stand-up comedy show at Tommy T’s Comedy Club in Pleasanton. Located on 5104 Hopyard Road, Gatto will be performing on September 25 and September 26 at 7pm and 9:30pm.

Food, alcoholic beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase during the show, but in order to make any purchases with a credit card patrons must have their photo ID on-hand.
There is a similar rule in place regarding tickets pick-up. According to Tommy T's website, the “credit card used for purchase" must be accompanied by a "matching ID" in order to obtain tickets at the will call.
While there is a wide range of experiences one can purchase with their tickets, including a meet-and-greet, shout outs, reserved parking and more, there are two different ticket options available for admission.
At $36, general seating tickets are first come, first served. That means that if travelling as a group, members are not guaranteed to be seated with each other.
The other ticket option is VIP. This seating option guarantees patrons are able to be seated together as long as the tickets are purchased in the same order. VIP tickets cost $46.

Beer Brats and Bingo Fundraiser
Just a few days before Gatto’s show will be the Beer, Brats, and Bingo Fundraiser hosted at 301 Main St, Pleasanton, also known as the Pleasanton Veterans Memorial.
While admission to the event itself is free, the food, drinks, and bingo entries must be paid for. Bingo cards will be $15. But it all goes to a good cause, as, in celebration of U.S. veterans, all proceeds from the event will be donated to American Legion Post 237.
Beer, Brats, and Bingo opens at 5pm, with festivities continuing “all night.”

Fall Job Fair
Pleasanton’s annual Fall Job Fair will be returning to the Tri-Valley Career Center on September 24 from 3pm to 5:30pm. The purpose of this completely free event is detailed on the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce website.
In part, the Chamber said that the fair “is a dynamic opportunity for employers and job seekers to connect in a meaningful, high-impact setting." The event allows companies seeking to fill personnel needs to "meet a diverse pool of candidates allowing for fast screening," while those seeking employment can "benefit from valuable one-on-one interaction with recruiters." It also gives candidates an opportunity to “make a strong impression that goes beyond their resume.”
OpGov.News interviewed Dublin resident Ryan Vinas, who attended the Fall Job Fair in 2025. According to Vinas, the event included many different vendors advertising different professions. Of these vendors, Vinas said, “A lot of them were going to hire me on the spot until I told them I wasn’t 16 yet.”
