(UNITED STATES) – Tech developer BRINC raised $125 million in funding toward its desired goal of equipping 911 response drones to approximately 80,000+ police and fire stations across the country.
To date, the company has raised $250 million toward its goal. BRINC drones are already assisting first-response efforts for the Los Angeles, Evansville, and St. Louis Police Departments. A further estimated 900 public safety agencies nationwide, and 20 percent of all SWAT teams in the U.S., use BRINC products.
New funds will go toward expanding BRINC’s manufacturing capabilities, product development, and a new facility with more space. The expansion is well-aligned with projected growth. Compared to previous years, 2025 saw the company's revenue triple, no doubt in part due to the signing of four times as many 911 response drone contracts.
This round of project funding was led by Motorola Solutions, with Index Ventures and Figma CEO Dylan Field rounding out the investors. This past March, BRINC and Motorola launched Guardian.
Guardian is an autonomous drone designed to integrate with emergency response systems. In conjunction with its proprietary Guardian Station, the system can swap its batteries, redeploy 40 seconds after missions are complete, and automatically select payloads (e.g., Narcan for OD or flotation devices for water rescues). It communicates and transfers data during missions via Starlink, requiring no manual routing. Motorola is also the exclusive reseller for BRINC drones in North America.
The introduction of technology in emergency fields is growing significantly year over year. The use of modern tech for emergency response may become a staple in these fields in the very near future.
