(ATLANTA, Geor.) — Residents and other community members can weigh in Thursday on redevelopment plans that will guide future investment in seven Atlanta neighborhoods.
The City of Atlanta and Invest Atlanta will hold a virtual community meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. October 8 to discuss updates to the redevelopment plans for the city’s Tax Allocation Districts, or TADs, according to a news release from the city.
The districts included in the process are Eastside, Westside, Campbellton Road, Metropolitan Parkway, Hollowell/MLK, Stadium Neighborhoods, and Perry Bolton.

People who live, work, own property, or run businesses in these areas can attend the meeting and tell city officials what needs attention, including any resident concerns about issues such as traffic, safety, sidewalks, and support for small businesses.
Residents can also ask questions about the redevelopment planning process and how TAD investments could be used in their communities.
Thursday’s meeting will be held online, and residents must register to participate.

The October 8 meeting is the first part of a broader community engagement process. The city and Invest Atlanta said additional in-person meetings will be held in the coming weeks as the redevelopment plans are updated.
These upcoming sessions will give residents additional opportunities to share their priorities directly with city officials as the plans are updated.
Community members are encouraged to participate in the meetings and provide feedback throughout the planning process. The meeting will be held online from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 8.
You can register to join the meeting here.
