First and foremost, I cover news for Sacramento County, Jersey Shore, and other areas, as necessary. I joined OpGov.news because I’m passionate about community journalism and the opportunity to write about pressing issues that truly matter to our county residents. I’ve always believed in the power of storytelling to inform, connect, and inspire change. My communications journey began in 2005 when I stepped into a newsroom as a secretary, eager to learn the craft from the ground up. Within a year, I was promoted to feature writer and breaking news journalist for major publications like the Asbury Park Press, New Jersey’s third-largest daily newspaper. Those formative years taught me the responsibility and impact of accurate reporting—how the right words can shape understanding and give a voice to those who might otherwise go unheard. That foundation continues to guide my work today, as I strive to bring clarity and transparency to complex issues and ensure the public stays informed and engaged. Please reach out to me at sarahkdenos@gmail.com if you have any story tips for Sacramento County.

I have seen the lack of coverage at local level where our vote has maximum value. So to emphasize on it we have highly focused on voter impact value in their local election. A News Service is considered as the Most Important Pillar of Democracy. Our Democracy is well served when our community steps us and contribute on independent candidates, for past 25 years i have seen our tax rates go up to unimaginable level where as accountability has literally disappeared while the media is conveniently avoided talking about it. Please consider subscribing as this how our dependency on advertisers and donors will fade. Together we will make sure local democracy is well served by independent community leaders, while ensuring accountability of every subscription dollars.
