[Pleasanton, Calif]. Pleasanton resident, business owner, and community advocate Vin Kruttiventi has announced his candidacy for Pleasanton City Council, District 1, seeking to bring his business leadership experience and commitment to community service to City Hall.
“Pleasanton is the community my family proudly calls home, and I want to do my part to protect what makes our city such a special place to live, raise a family, and build a business,” Kruttiventi said. “I am running because I believe our city needs leadership that listens to residents, plans responsibly for the future, and delivers results.”

Kruttiventi is an entrepreneur and longtime business executive who has spent more than two decades building and leading businesses, creating jobs, managing organizations with substantial financial responsibility, and navigating periods of growth and economic uncertainty.
He is also the founder of the Vinay Kruttiventi Foundation, through which he mentors entrepreneurs and works with startups, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. The foundation has worked with more than 40 organizations, providing mentorship, strategic guidance, and practical business experience to help entrepreneurs and community organizations grow and become more sustainable.
Kruttiventi said one of his top priorities on the City Council would be strengthening Pleasanton’s long-term financial position while maintaining the services and quality of life residents expect.
“Pleasanton is an incredible city, but we have important decisions ahead of us,” Kruttiventi said. “We need to be disciplined with taxpayer dollars while also finding additional sources of revenue and supporting the businesses that contribute to our local economy.”
His priorities include maintaining strong public safety, improving the city’s long-term financial health, supporting local businesses, revitalizing the Stoneridge area, maintaining roads and infrastructure, protecting parks and open space, and ensuring residents have access to safe and reliable drinking water.
“This campaign will be centered on listening to residents throughout District 1,” Kruttiventi said. “I want to hear directly from our neighbors about what is working, where we can do better, and what they expect from their city government. Whether someone agrees with me on every issue or not, I want them to know that I will listen and that their voice matters.”
“Pleasanton is where my family has built our life and where we are proud to call home,” Kruttiventi said. “I want to give back by bringing my experience in business and community service to the City Council and working to keep Pleasanton a great place to live, raise a family, and build a future.”
Kruttiventi is seeking the District 1 seat on the Pleasanton City Council in the November 2026 election.
