For county elections, If a clear majority is achieved for a local candidate at the primary, that candidate is appointed to the position. When a majority is unclear, the two local candidates with the most votes progress to the general election. Neither Supervisorial district has a majority, according to the unofficial results.
Because California is a voter-nominated state as opposed to being party-nominated, the top two candidates do not need to be of different political parties.
At the state level, a definitive win cannot happen at the primary election. All state offices continue with their top two candidates until the general election in November.

County positions running unopposed are incumbent Dr. Nikki Parr for Solano County Superintendent of Schools, incumbent Glenn Zooks for Assessor/Recorder, incumbent Janine Harris for Auditor-Controller, and Denise Dix for Treasurer/Tax Collector/County Clerk.
While being the only candidate new to the role they are running for, Dix has served the office for 26 years, the last two of which were served as Assistant Treasurer-Tax Collector-County Clerk.
Since these candidates are unopposed, they automatically hold the majority of votes.
The primary election is anticipated to be certified on Tuesday, June 30. Updates to the unofficial results will continue to be published until the certification.
