Empowering communities through transparent governance

OpGov.ai email requesting FOIA records.
SAN RAMON -- When it comes to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the city staff here provided OpGov.ai with a media request on Nov. 3 as they promised.
Hence, this short one-minute read report states the same.
Don't get OpGov.ai wrong as they prove what is wrong in the San Ramon government. This media outlet wants to highlight the good, such as Lisa Scholtz and Joan Snashall, who are doing precisely what they are paid to do: responding on time to a FOIA request. Snashall has been nothing but professional with OpGov.ai.
It is the elected officials that pose a problem, hence every single one of these stories, beginning with the San Ramon Councilmember Robert Jweniat Recall.
With the above story and the below, there were many attempts to get a response from the officials to the media, but they failed to give one. Jweniat should be grateful that the report on him did not receive more than 3K hits, like this report on the Toll Brothers Application.
The Citizens to File Violation of Brown Act comes in second highest at 3,079 hits, a little less than the Toll Brothers report. Now that we have reminded readers of the very negative press, again, we are glad to show how dedicated some San Ramon staff members are to doing their job.
Thanks, Joan and Lisa, as I said in my email, I really appreciate it.
I apologize for not responding sooner. Due to Election Day coverage, with this reporter covering Jersey City, New York City, and California's Proposition 50, I have been a bit busy. Might I add that reporting on N.Y.C. was not only my favorite because I was raised in Jersey, just a stone's throw away from the Big Apple, but also because of my lead.
The ability to write with flavor and not being told I can't, specifically your local corporate and privately owned media outlets. With all that, I thank OpGov.ai for providing me with the honest platform to do so.
Now that time is on my side again, I look foward to looking through the document this weekend, and sharing what I may or may not find next week. I hope there is nothing to tell, and that all is on the up and up, really I am.
