Citizens are calling for a recall of Councilman Robert Jweniat.
The State of California lays out exactly why San Ramon has the right.
"It has been a fundamental part of our governmental system since 1911 and has been used by voters to express their dissatisfaction with their elected representatives," according to California state law.
San Ramon citizens are more than dissatisfied.
They are frustrated and angry for being silenced and ignored, leaving them one recourse: recall.
Demanding Jweniat step down from the dias is not personal; he is the only councilman who has raised the most pressing ethical concerns about Measure G and Ordinances 531 and 532.

He and other elected officials sit back and allow for the abolishment of a voter-approved measure, as well as passing ordinances that exempt Sunset Development Company projects from public oversight and handing approvals to the Zoning Administration.
The public's right to a supermajority vote and the number of public hearings slash any opportunity they have to express their disagreement. The new ordinance means that if they disagree, it will cost $ 4,500 to appeal.
The recall is also for the continuous development of unwanted properties, including the recent Toll Brothers application, which citizens have bluntly protested, hiring counsel to defend them.
Another reason for the recall is the lack of media coverage.
Without local media available to witness what is happening at public meetings, and given their limited response to emails, it is another reason to recall since it is a way to draw attention to the blatant disrespect of San Ramon citizens.
That is why they must take this step.
