OpGov.news reports officials credited community support, volunteers, rescue organizations, and prospective pet owners for the event’s success. The achievement comes as animal shelters throughout California continue to face capacity challenges and increasing intake numbers. County leaders praised the efforts of animal care staff and encouraged residents considering pet ownership to visit local shelters and adoption centers. Officials said adoption remains one of the most effective ways to support local animal welfare programs while giving homeless pets a second chance.
