(SAN FRANCISCO, CA.) - Elections are upcoming this year for the Board of Supervisors in San Francisco, within which five districts will be voted upon.
District 2, including Pacific Heights and Presidio Heights, has three people registered to run, including Jeremy Kirshner, Stephen Sherrill, and Lori Brooke.
Kirshner emphasizes “building more housing to lower the high cost of living”, per Jeremy Kirshner. Sherrill cites safe streets, clean neighborhoods, and thriving local businesses as several of his main focuses according to Supervisor Stephen Sherrill for District 2 and further advocates for a “city that inspires pride and possibility”. Brooke, from Lori Brooke for District 2 Supervisor 2026, says she'll "bring an independent voice to City Hall" and will "fight for clean and safe streets, housing that is affordable for our next generation, fiscal responsibility, and effective representation for our neighborhoods".
District 4, or the Sunset District, which has five possible candidates- David Lee, Albert Chow, Alan Wong, Natalie Gee, and Jeremy Greco.

Lastly, Jeremy Greco coordinates school campuses and Wong was Lurie's appointee from last December.
District 6 (SoMa, Mission Bay, Easy Cut, and Treasure Island) has only one candidate, Matt Dorsey, who is currently the supervisor and running unopposed.
As stated by Matt Dorsey | San Francisco District 6 Supervisor, he labels himself as a Democrat and “is the first self-identified member of the substance use recovery community to serve on the Board of Supervisors in a generation”. Further, “Dorsey is an out gay man who is openly HIV positive” and strongly supports the Affordable Homes Now charter amendment.

The District 8 (Castro, Noe Park, Glen Valley, etc.) race contains three members- Gary McCoy, Michael Nguyen, and Manny Yekutiel.

Finally, Yeukutiel, as the wonder of Manny’s Cafe, seeks to provide housing for everyone, obtain clean and safe streets, and have a government that gives people a voice, according to Manny Yekutiel for Supervisor.
District 10 (Bayview, etc.) has a diverse array of numerous candidates, including Pearci Fitzgerald Randy Bastiany Ⅲ (bastiany-campaign-site.replit.app), Gloria Berry (Gloria Berry (March 2024) - SF Rising Action), Dionjay Brookter (https://www.dj4d10.com), Deandra Bryant, Theodore Ellington (Meet Theo Ellington - Theo Ellington For Supervisor), Jefferson R. Eppler (Meet J.R. Eppler: Delivering for District 10 | San Francisco Board of Supervisors), Mike Trouble Lin, Jameel Patterson (Meet Everyday Hero Jameel Rasheed Patterson – SFHDC | San Francisco Housing Development Corporation), and Jessica Pessecow.
Special elections are set to take place on June 2nd for Districts 2 and 4 and all districts will be voted on November 3rd in the general election. The candidates for districts 6, 8, and 10 are still subject to change.
