Empowering communities through transparent governance

The number of possible unopposed races this year is disturbing, to say the least.
This candidate list shows when you click at List of Candidates who has applied to run.
Some candidate filing information is updated on the state website for multiple counties.
This list will change due to the March 4 deadline, with some candidates waiting to file.
OpGov.ai will closely follow all candidate filing till the deadline, ensuring readers know proposes leadership in their community.

It is the mainstream media's responsibility to inform residents of these questionable unopposed races.
But they don't. We won't get into why, there is not enough time for that. We will just focus on how to change it. I have watched citizen after citizen in countless area cities share creative, inspiring ways to better the goverment, officials do not listen.
That is why it is important for us to encourage one another to stand up and challenge any one of these positions. That's what a true race is. When two people challenge each other. An unopposed race just hands over the title, quite often to many who should no longer serve.
Take, for example, Candace Anderson, who directly ignored community concerns that OpGov.ai made public. At the Open Governance Initiative, we believe the community can only be stronger when it is represented.
Not only is she not representing the people, but she is also getting paid nearly $200K with pay and benefits as seen below.

Here are the articles we have published that focus on this specific issue, beginning with Newark Councilwoman Eve Little.
