(CALIFORNIA) -- A note on these numbers. These are preliminary election-night tallies reported by the Alameda County Registrar of Voters and the Contra Costa County Clerk-Recorder, based largely on mail ballots and Election Day turnout. They are not certified and will shift as remaining ballots are counted. Because counties report by jurisdiction rather than by city, the figures below are county-wide and district-wide — the five named cities fall within these contests rather than each having a separate breakdown. Where a district straddles both counties, the per-county share is shown separately.
Several primary election results are in for both Alameda and Contra Costa counties. While these preliminary numbers offer a glimpse of some results already, some races are not yet fully tallied.

At this time, Aisha Wahab holds an 18.21% lead over Melissa Hernandez, while Wendy Huang sits at a close third, only 0.13% behind Hernandez for Congressional District 14.

The top two candidates for District 16 are Rebecca Bauer-Kahan with 64.70% of the votes, Joseph Rubay with 31.80%, and Chirag Kathrani at 3.60% percent.

Both candidates Liz Ortega and Patricia Muga will continue to November runoffs with no other primary contenders for Assembly District 20.

Incumbent Ursula Jones Dickson was voted at 64.03%, and with a majority vote, wins Alameda County District Attorney with no November runoffs necessary.

Incumbent Cheryl Cook-Kallio wins Area 7 County Board of Education majority with 77.69% of the vote after a race with only one contender for the primary.

Office 13 Superior Court Judge is won by Michael Johnson following a close race with a 5.2% lead against only one contender.

A very close race between Selia Warren and Patricia Miles came to a close with Warren winning Office 19 Superior County Judge outright with a 1.84% lead.

Kristin Connelly wins the majority vote by 74.04% lead over only one contender, Pratima Sonavne, for Clerk-Recorder.

Peter Karumbi wins the open seat for Auditor-Controller in a majority vote against one contender, Deepika Naharas.

County Ballot Measure A was passed with its needed majority vote, while measures G and B fell behind significantly. The urban limit line renewal passed, while an increase in sales tax and a $920m community college bond were not.

The open seat for County Assessor was won by Vince Robb with a majority vote against two contenders, Nick Spinner and Kismat Kathrani.

Jesse Hsieh wins Office Q Superior Court Judge after majority vote in a race against the only contender, Valery Polyakov.

The Zone 7 Water Agency board came together, naming the top four contenders as majority wins: Jim Lehrman, Sarah Palmer, Alan Burnham, and Sean Roberts. No runoffs will take place, and all four will be appointed.
