(PENSACOLA) --- Pensacola plans to light up the sky this Saturday.
In the middle of the OpGov.News “America 250” Series: it’s time to stop and point out where Pensacola locals need to go on Saturday for the big birthday.
America’s 250th birthday brings on the annual Bayfront event sponsored by the Pensacola Young Professionals and Greater Pensacola Chamber. This year, Coca-Cola and Cumberland Farms are contributing to the family-friendly event, packed with activities and fireworks.
The America 250 event page encourages residents to bring their own chairs and blankets to the Bayfront Parkway viewing area.

The party begins at 5 p.m., with food trucks and on-site vendors, followed by the 9 p.m. fireworks show. Coca-Cola Refresh Zones will be set up at Bartham and Veterans Memorial Park.
CatCountry 98.7 FM will sync with the fireworks display, adding a musical element to the experience. However, going old-school with an actual radio offers the ultimate listening experience, with no digital streaming delay.
Saturday night also features the Pensacola Symphony’s annual “Symphony Sparks and Stars” show downtown at the Hunter Amphitheater, just a walk away from the Blue Wahoos 4th of July celebration.
There is nothing more American than baseball, with the local league hosting a two-day celebration at the 351 Cedar St. stadium on July 3 and 4. The event promises lawn games, food vendors, and the league mascot, Kazoo, on-site for a memorable, family-friendly holiday spot.

Locals who want to remain at a backyard birthday barbecue can tune in to some famous U.S. fireworks displays over the National Mall or New York Harbor for the Macy’s 50th Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show.
No matter where or how Pensacola locals choose to celebrate America 250, OpGov.News wishes everyone a safe evening under the Gulf Coast sky.
