(HAYWARD) -- Six people injured, homes destroyed, and highways shut down.
That is the aftermath of the Hayward explosion yesterday, which drew national attention after a construction crew broke an underground gas line, leading to disaster.
From yesterday's New York Times to L.A. Times coverage to entertainment gossip magazine People, picking up the story three hours ago, proves bad news travels fast.
If it were not for a Ring camera catching the explosion, the disaster may have gone unseen in such detail. That footage is plastered on all media outlets' coverage.
