(KENNESAW)—Kennesaw City Council held its second meeting of the month.
The City Council meeting on January 20, 2026, was notably brief and primarily ceremonial, marked by the farewell of long-serving Councilman Pat Ferris according to the OpGov.ai platform.
The platform adds that critically, the substantive portion of the meeting, the approval of the "consent agenda in gross," was handled with alarming swiftness, passing unanimously without any apparent discussion or deliberation by the council or opportunity for public input, raising concerns about the transparency and thoroughness of city governance.
