Influencers Madeline White and Andrew Fedyk Issue Urgent Warning to Pet Owners Following the Tragic Death of Their Dog Dunkin at a Local Training Facility

(OPGOV GLOBAL) – Influencer Madeline White and her husband, Andrew Fedyk shared news involving the untimely passing of their two-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, Dunkin. The couple had enrolled Dunkin and their dog in a board-and-train program with Smart Dogs Training while out of town, however, less than 48 hours into the program, they were informed of Dunkin’s sudden passing. 

The couple expressed their grief and anger on social media while explaining the sequence of events. In an August 26 Instagram post, Fedyk wrote “We lost our dog Dunkin today and the reason why makes me sick to my stomach. Please at all cost avoid Smart Dogs Training in studio city CA.” He further shared details of what the facility had told them, stating that they had "received a call without 48 hours that Dunkin was supposedly taken to the park during an extreme heat wave, ‘showed signs of heat exhaustion’ in the car, and had passed away by the time they arrived at a boarding facility… He was never taken to a vet. They just decided that he was dead and called me hours later. He never even had a chance to be saved."

Madeleine White Fedyk also spoke out in a series of Instagram stories on August 27 to warn her followers. She shared her disturbance at the lack of emergency care and unauthorized actions, stating that Dunkin “was being transferred to a dog boarding facility we never approved of and passed away from heat exhaustion somewhere along the way. He was never even taken to a vet. We were called hours later. Please never leave your dog with this company. We are absolutely broken.” In following posts, she expressed her grief, writing, “We love you so much, Dunkin Munchkin," alongside photos of the dog with their family. 

The couple arranged a veterinary autopsy to verify the cause of and get clearer answers. In a follow-up video posted on August 28, Fedyk shared that they had been contacted by other dog owners who raised similar concerns, alleging that the situation involved “something a lot more serious than just simple negligence."
