(GILBERT, Ariz.) -- Gilbert Farmers Market made the grounds of Chandler-Gilbert Community College their new home over one year ago after moving from downtown Gilbert. GFM calls themselves “The Foodie Market,” which proves true, given a large majority of their unique 150 vendors serve food or beverages.

On every Saturday of 2026, the market has and will continue to operate for four hours in the morning. From the months of October through April, operating hours are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., whereas from May through September, they push ahead one hour, open from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The market will not be open on Dec., 26, 2026 in observance of the holidays.
On October 31, OpGov.News stopped by to experience what the market had to offer residents of Gilbert and Chandler, and their surrounding cities.
“The Foodie Market,” which GFM rightfully calls themselves on their website, housed diverse vendors and offered satisfaction for every craving from lattes to dim sum, and health food to specialty cookies.
A handful of vendors marketed their keto, gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan food options, which coined the market a welcoming place for all diet types.

While vendors each had unique offerings like frozen candied grapes from Elle Sweets AZ, GFM also checked the box of traditional farmers market goods. Vendors sold eggs, bread, local honey, and colorful produce. Mortimer Farms had a two-tent set up with vegetables and other fresh goods, as well as shopping baskets for customer convenience.
As for beverage options, the longest line of the day came from the front of the market at Casita Coffee. The mobile shop offered various flavored lattes and specialty coffee drinks. Also a popular booth, The Local Lemon had steady customer turnout for their large fruit-filled lemonade, limeade, and Arnold Palmer-style sips.
Food vendors undeniably had the heaviest presence, but there was more to enjoy at GFM than just local cuisine. Vendors sold jewelry, clothing, wood-carved items, and handmade wellness products.
Herbs From The Heart was set up towards the back of the market. The lovely smell of their specialty soaps, teas, and tinctures provided a refreshing pause from the aroma of surrounding food vendors. The booth sold natural body care products and loose leaf tea formulas for various wellness concerns.
Annie Bean & Co. also presented an attractive booth, with their children's holiday pajamas front and center to attract customers preparing for the upcoming season. Kids of all ages could find something cozy to cuddle up in, but adults were included too. The matching pajamas suitable for the whole family were delightfully soft to the touch, and came in a few different seasonal styles.
Gilbert Farmers Market offered an impressive selection and a remarkable community turnout. Hundreds of customers showed up ready to eat, sip, and window shop. While some lines were 10 or 15 people long, they moved rather quickly.
The current location of GFM is Chandler-Gilbert Community College. It sits at 2626 E Pecos. Road, Chandler, AZ 85225. The space comes with extensive parking options for commuting customers. Even the furthest parking spots available require just a short walk.
Gilbertmarket.com shared a map for first-time customers to help them find their ways around. They recommend entering from Pecos Rd and Norman Way for easy access.
