(SAN FRANCISCO, CA.) – Gas prices in San Francisco are going up. What can locals do about it?
Gas prices are increasing all over the United States, including California. This is happening because oil comes from Iran, and the United States and Israel are currently at war with them.
San Francisco in particular has some of the highest gas prices in the country. In addition to spikes in housing and grocery prices due to economic inflation, residents of San Francisco are faced with increasing gas prices as well.
According to gasprices.aaa.com, the current average price of regular gas in San Francisco is over $5. The current average price of diesel is over $7.

Here are a few ideas for San Franciscans to consider to travel the city without going out of budget.
San Francisco is well-known for its public transportation. The MUNI and BART help people get around without vehicles, and at a much cheaper price.
Many of the roads in San Francisco also include bike lanes, so residents can purchase or rent bikes. The same is true for electric scooters.

These options are not only cheaper, but also better for the environment. The use of cars burns fossil fuels and releases pollution into the air.
If a car ride is necessary, carpooling is an option that minimizes both the amount of money spent on gas and the amount of greenhouse gases released as a result. It is also environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and healthy exercise to walk whenever possible.
