(KENNESAW, GA) -- Two Republicans and two Democratic candidates are running for Georgia Attorney General.

Miller’s website states that she has spent her career on the front lines of justice. As a prosecutor, she fought for victims and held child predators and violent criminals accountable.
Miller has worked as a Civil Rights Attorney, Prosecutor, and State Representative. She represents District 62 and assumed office on Jan. 9, 2023.
Trammell was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives representing District 132, and assumed office on Jan. 12, 2015, and left office in Jan. 2021.

Trammell explained his stance on politics on his website.
"Too often, politics gets in the way of protecting families and holding powerful interests accountable. I’m running to restore trust in this office and make sure every Georgian — no matter where they live or who they are can feel safe, secure, and protected,” according to Trammell’s website.
Bill Cowsert and Brian Strickland are the Republican candidates.

According to his website, Strickland fights for faith, family, and freedom. He also cares about crime and public safety.

The candidates are trying to take the position held by Chris Carr, who has served as Georgia’s Attorney General since 2016.

Carr’s mission is to protect the lives, livelihoods, and liberties of all Georgians.
“He has won statewide election two times (2018 and 2022) based on his strong, conservative record of prosecuting violent crime, keeping the economy open, defending Georgia’s election integrity law, supporting law enforcement, going after fraud and corruption, and fighting back against federal overreach,” according to the Office of Attorney General Website.
The primary elections take place on May 19, and the primary runoff elections are on June 16.
General elections will take place on Nov. 3, while the general runoff elections are on Dec. 1.
