Founders Note : Oct 9, 2026
Thank you to all our readers for your continued support and feedback. Your suggestions help shape our coverage and keep us connected to the community.
This week, one of our sustaining members shared detailed research on an elected representative for a three-part series:
Part One follows the money.
Part Two follows the votes.
Part Three brings the record to the ballot.
Our team will develop similar two- or three-part series examining incumbents’ records during their time in office. We will also cross-check claims made at candidate forums against public records.
Our goal is not to support or oppose anyone, but to put plain facts before readers so they can make their own decisions. Our subscribers support fact-based reporting and should be able to question anyone—including us.
Subscribers are at the heart of our work. Sustaining members can participate in our weekly newsroom meetings, where we discuss coverage and plan the upcoming edition. We want to build a news outlet where checks and balances are central to both our reporting and our own accountability.
We are changing our name from Tri-Valley Weekly to Tri-Valley Voice after learning that some readers had confused the recently created website trivalleyweekly.com with our publication. Our online home remains OpGov.News.
Thank you to our advertisers and sustaining members who make this work possible. Your support helps us expand local coverage and reduce our dependence on advertising. Subscribe for weekly doorstep delivery and become a sustaining member for $10 a month.
Finally, a special thank-you to the hundreds of community seniors who gather every Wednesday at Tiffany Roberts Sports Park in Windemere. Your engagement and encouragement remind us why a community newspaper matters.
