(PENSACOLA) --- There is no other way to say it: local Flock protestors will not give up, no matter how much they are ignored.
That is exactly why the core group of residents who show up to every Pensacola City Council meeting will rally in front of 222 W. Main St, Thursday night before the regularly scheduled meeting.

This is the sixth OpGov.News report on the matter, with each report featuring Pepper McQuiffins, a local activist, becoming more popular in the public arena for her passion. Just today, she spoke at the Pensacola State College "ICE Off Our Campus Walkout" about the local state college's 287 (g) agreement, which authorizes officers to act on behalf of ICE.
ICE and Flock continue to gain notorious nationwide attention for their racial profiling characteristics. OpGov.News began following the local protestors in January, beginning with Pensacola Residents Flock to Podium in Fear of Flock, followed by Pensacola Flock Protest a Real Thing, and culminating in Flock Finally a Councilmember's Concern After Two Months.
Featured in the next report, Flock Petition Circulating in the Community, McQuiffins shares her racial profiling fears not for her, but for her daughter. Lastly, Flock Protest at Meeting: WEAR Only Interviews Police Chief confirms the lack of attention from local media regarding a very real concern.
"For citizens that aren't paying attention, this is an important issue," McQuiffin told OpGov.News today. "If you continue to look away, these systems will grow, and more government overreach and searches without seizure will become the norm."
Giving up is not an option, according to McQuiffins and Defensa Gulf Coast, which is holding the Thursday rally and circulating a petition.

"We have to fight now before these systems become an expectation," McQuiffins said. "Letting the mayor just sign these off with no fight sends the message that he can just continue to make decisions for citizens that nobody asked for."
