Empowering communities through transparent governance
(PENSACOLA) --- The Escambia Children's Trust (ECT)'s new YouTube Podcast is the perfect way to communicate a message of hope.
The perfect person to tell you the same is Communications Manager, Michael Moore, a Pensacola native who is working hard to inspire the same.
The new YouTube "Growing the Trust" podcast, featuring Moore and Executive Director Lindsey Cannon, launched two days ago, introducing ECT to the public through an informative series.

The first podcast promises, "If you've ever wanted to understand the heart behind ECT, this is the episode to start with."
"It's the who, what, where, when, and why about the trust," Moore told OpGov.news about the 41-minute-long podcast, which begins with Cannon detailing how the trust got placed on the 2020 ballot.
Though the local business community and Achieve Escambia, a non-profit group dedicated to assisting local children academically from the "cradle to career,” were making a difference, service gaps needed to be filled.
Since its inception, those gaps have been filled, much through data-driven insights that help ECT focus funds on children in greatest need. If anyone knows about adolescence in Escambia County, it is Moore, telling OpGov.news his own story.
"I'm born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, and after (college) graduation, moving back to Pensacola, I became a mentor," Moore said. "And just being able to help the youth and seeing them in my shoes and realizing that I was there, you know, just a few years ago."
"It's really heartwarming to be able to help families in need, to help children in need, and be able to give back to my community," Moore said.

That is what made Moore the perfect fit for the communications post, which implements with excellence, promoting so many programs that offer resources from education to healthcare to assure a brighter future for families here in Escambia County.
"Pensacola is home. When I went off to college, a lot of people didn't even know where Pensacola was, and it's 2.5 hours away from Tallahassee. So I made it a mission. That everyone would know what Pensacola is when I left Florida A&M University," Moore said. "I felt that I needed to keep that charge going and just give back to my community."
The new podcast proves the ECT will not cease in its public communication. The more that know they are here to help, the greater the change.
When it comes to raising a child in a village, ECT has it handled, ending its podcast with a hopeful rhyme.

The fun, informative video ends with a note from Moore before the ECT jingle plays.
“We want to thank you guys so much for joining our brand-new podcast, 'Growing the Trust Podcast’, and we will see you next time,” Moore said. “And don’t forget, ECT has services for you and me.”
