Empowering communities through transparent governance
(PENSACOLA, FL.) --- The race before the race is on.
With March around the corner, the 2026 Primary and General Elections will be here before you know it, hence this report.
There is no better time to start local coverage of the races for mayor, council members, county commissioners, and school board members. For hyperlocal purposes, let's start with the mayor's race.
Incumbent D.C. Reeves faces Ann Hill, Jasmine Brown, Alicia Trawick, Jermaine Williams, and Chase Anderson, listed as inactive below.

Escambia County, Pensacola Mayor Candidate List
Of all the city government races, the City Council District 2 seat held by Charles Bare goes unopposed.

However, Robert D. Bender himself invites all residents to oppose any official. If we only would, especially those that are unopposed, which in and of itself is questionable, as seen in California races.

Speaking of leaving a seat, Councilman Jared Moore is stepping down, leaving the District 4 dais seat up for grabs with two challengers listed, including Brian Cole and Boyce White.
A little highter up the political ladder, two Escambia County Commissioner positions are open with District 2, 4 on the ballot.

Escambia County Commissioner Candidate List
Like Bare, District 4 Commissioner Ashlee Hofberger goes unopposed, again very questionable.

As for District 2, incumbent Mike Koehler will fight against Glen Dorsey, Mathious Robinson, and EErica King Pleas Sims Riley.
School board elections and local authority races will also be featured by OpGov.ai on the ballot in the future. But for now, anyone reading this, please stop to think if you or anyone you know would be brave enough to be part of the change.
Democracy means action; hence, real change means voting out those who do not keep their promises.
That starts with citizens running against incumbents and not becoming corrupt in power, but leading with the same integrity they brought to office from the beginning.
Why not start now?
A Candidate Handbook is even offered to assist said citizens.
If there was anytime to step up from the podium to the dais is now. After witnessing the many brave Pensacola citizens stand up against officials in my recent coverage, it is obvious new blood is needed here.
There still is time to consider running with dates below. Long gone are the days that you have to be rich to run. GoodParty.org makes it possible for the publc to make the difference they speak about from the podium.

Escambia County Primary, General Election 2026 Dates
A Candidate Workshop is offered to help citizens who consider running.
Needless to say, time is of the essence, meaning anyone considering must register to vote be it on the elephant or donkey's side, or of course no affiliation.
