(ATLANTA, GA) — Atlanta is Dreamin’ in Color for the next three days as it kicks off a three-day conference for black technology professionals during Atlanta’s tech week, which runs August 9 through August 14.
Dreamin’ in Color is a conference focused on technology, career development and networking. It runs Thursday through Saturday, August 13 to 15, at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead, 3300 Peachtree Road NE.
The event is geared toward people who work with Salesforce and other cloud technologies, as well as people looking to build careers in the tech industry.
The founder, Tiffany Spencer, was inspired to create the event aftter a visit to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2021. She walked down the historic Greenwood District, which was once known as Black Wall Street, and saw a vision of community and togetherness that she could bring to the technology community.
She rallied several colleauges in the Salesforce community, to create a space for black professionals to advance their careers, network and celebrate culture -- birthing what is now known as the Dreamin' in Color Conference.
The conference opens Thursday with The Cookout, a 6-9 p.m. event at the Grand Hyatt. The event will kick off the conference with a night of music, food and networking.
Tickets are still available, with prices ranging from $50 to attend only The Cookout and $175 for full conference registration.
Friday will feature conference sessions and an expo hall, with topics covering technology and career development. The conference also includes an awards dinner and an after-party Friday night.
The event wraps up Saturday with Dreamin’ In Color Day in the A, which gives attendees time to explore Atlanta on their own.
