(DUBLIN, Calif.) – Apni Mandi Farmers Market opened its newest Bay Area location on Oct. 29 at 2840 Dublin Blvd. in the Fallon Gateway shopping center, giving Dublin residents a new option for grocery shopping at any hour.
The supermarket operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Its grand opening included four days of festivities through Nov. 1. The approximately 51,000-square-foot store is expected to create between 70 and 100 jobs, according to owner Ravinder Singh, who goes by Ravi. Singh described it as the chain’s largest West Coast location; that claim has not been independently verified.
A Store Built Around Food and Convenience
Alongside grocery aisles stocked with Indian specialty products, the new market features a prepared-food counter and an extensive bakery section. Photos taken by Tri-Valley Voice correspondent Mandy show shoppers browsing the store, trays of prepared dishes behind glass, packaged pani puri shells, and refrigerated cases filled with pastries and cakes.

The bakery displays include layered desserts, cream-topped pastries, and decorated celebration cakes. The chain’s website also highlights offerings such as chaat, paan and fresh juices across its locations. Availability of prepared foods throughout overnight hours has not been confirmed.

The grocery aisles carry Indian specialty products as well, including shelves of packaged pani puri shells, used to make the popular Indian street-food snack.

Growing Across the Bay Area
Apni Mandi already has a Bay Area presence in Fremont, Milpitas and Sunnyvale. The Dublin opening extends its reach into the Tri-Valley and adds a round-the-clock option for customers who shop outside traditional store hours.
Jobs and a New Retail Destination
Singh’s estimate of 70 to 100 jobs suggests the store could become a notable addition to Dublin’s retail and food-service workforce. The opening also adds another grocery option in a city with a diverse customer base. According to the U.S. Census Bureau figure cited in the original report, 55.2% of Dublin residents identify as Asian alone; that broad category should not be treated as a measure of demand for Indian groceries.
For shoppers, the biggest practical difference may be simple: groceries are available at 2 p.m. or 2 a.m. The market combines that schedule with Indian pantry staples, prepared foods and bakery selections under one roof.
