(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M)- Albuquerque is celebrating America’s Independence Day with various events.

The city will celebrate Freedom 4th with live music, food, and fireworks. Kids can participate in activities like inflatable jumpers, two climbing walls, and face painting. Gates open at 3 p.m.
Freedom 4th takes place at Balloon Fiesta Park with events beginning at 4 p.m. and ending at 9:1 5 p.m. with a fireworks display.
Local talent like the Kickback Counselours and Tripple-X Band will perform at Freedom 4th. The band WAR will headline the event at 7:45 p.m.
Albuquerque also has Summertime in Old Town with live music and entertainment at the Old Town Gazebo.
Levi Dean and the Mesa Rats will perform alternative country from 1 to 3 p.m. The High Desert Playboys will perform folk music from 7 to 9 p.m.
Albuquerque has Beaches and Bass planned to celebrate the Fourth of July, taking place at 10508 Menaul Blvd. NW. Beaches and Bass starts at 5 p.m., featuring live DJs, vendors, fireworks, and food trucks.
Painting with a twist is also available on Independence Day. An event named S.O.S, come rescue your painting, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 8510 Montgomery Blvd NE. The painting event is free.

We want to make sure that you leave with a painting YOU are happy and proud to show off.”
